I ran this boat for most of the summer this way, never hooked up the Nitrous (still haven't to this day); and had a blast. The FRESH MOTOR had amazing power and with the Jackplate and Hydraulic Steering-It's a treat to drive. I was in the HIGH 80's with half a tank (12 Gal) and a ski prop (21PI,3 Blade) on with another person in the boat.!!! It is the most reliable motor I have ever seen as well. I have actually Pull Started the boat with the Chessy Little rope and Handle they give you for emergencies-due to dead battery from having the stereo on all day.
This is me and my nephew.
Later that same summer I had an accident with the boat. I was hard into a turn, hit a wake and was ejected from the boat at speed, I broke the windshield off and bent the steering wheel on my way out of the boat. With all of the added set back and power I also wound up cracking the transom in the corners of the splash well. Hydrostreams are famous for this. Over the next winter I repaired the transom with Kevlar/epoxy (I have built 2 composite airplanes from scratch so I'm not a complete newb) and put several hundred hours into a CUSTOM BILLET and MIRROR POLISHED STAINLESS Transom Support System. This wound up being some my finest work ever!
I used the boat just like this for 3 years and Managed to see 101MPH on GPS after finding the right prop. The following summer I built a CUSTOM Trailer for it. It looked pretty bad sitting on a crappy old single white/rust axle. I re-used the steel, vin and title for the old trailer but put all new axles, fenders, lighting and bunks on it. Everything was powdercoated and I drove to Chicago and picked up the Killer Anson Sprint Slots for it. I machined custom billet wheel adapters to get them onto the hubs-very slick.
All was going good, Then Summer of 2009 I was once again in a hard turn and the drivers seat tore out and I was ejected. This required a short hospital stay and I'm doing fine now. After a hard inspection later that year. I found the the floor was rotting. I cut a portion of the floor out with the intention of glassing in a new piece of plywood and returning her to duty. In September of that year I crashed my Four Wheeler and destroyed my ankle and broke some ribs. I'M OFFICIALLY TOO OLD TO GO THAT FAST ANYMORE! I just don't heal like I used to. If I fix this I will use it. Therefore Somebody is going to get a great deal on this boat! You will have to put a floor in it and carpet. The original interior is in good shape but needs new wood in the seat floors and a couple of seems re-stitched. And reassemble it. I think you could do this all in 2 weekends if you pushed a little
I have never finished installing the nitrous system, the bottle is still full of the original juice. The boat is SCARY FAST without it. You can be the first. The motor is the most reliable gas powered anything I have ever owned! It starts in 1/2 a crank when warm and in 5 second when cold. It idles and trolls all day just fine. There is a 24 gallon aluminum gas tank included as well.
There is way too much to list here. Please look at the pics and specs. and call or email me with all of your questions.
I have well over $27,000 invested in this boat and it will be a very cool ride for somebody!!! Here's all that needs to happen for you to be kicking ass on the lake THIS YEAR!!!
I am interested in listening to all trades. Land, UTV's, bikes, boats, cars, carpentry, camper trailer, whatever. I will trade up or down depending on the deal. Call me let's talk!
